I was touched and extremely grateful to discover SABRE: The Shattered Oath has been featured in Altrincham Today's Spring Issue #25.
As mentioned in the feature, SABRE is dedicated to my late nan, Jill Wendy Wood and my new-born daughter, Evie. It is one year this month (March 2024) since Nana Jill passed.
Nana Jill would let me use her computer after school to write my stories. This sentence alone does not express how amazing she was, and how much she meant to the family. Words can't express. Unfortunately, she passed a few months before publication after her long battle with cancer. More so, she never got to meet my daughter.
But, as a close friend put it recently, we are never truly gone until the last person who remembers us has passed.
So, Jill's name lives on and with every end comes a new beginning. I hope my actions inspire Evie to chase her dreams and do what ever she wants to do in life.
